Hymenoptera

Hymenoptera is medium-sized insects with two pairs of membranous wings. In the Hymenoptera order, you can find species like ants, wasps, bees and bumblebees. Currently, we mostly deal with wild pollinators, especially solitary bees and bumblebees.

When the spring comes, you will most often find us with a net in hand, waving around flowers, or with some tools and reeds that we use to make houses for solitary bees.

Our goal is to point out the importance of this order of insects, with an emphasis on pollinators.

All bee, ant, and wasp enthusiasts (or those who are about to become one) are welcome to section meetings, excursions, or any other activities!
